Great service. Tasty food. Great vegetarian options. Great background music. End price can catch you by surprise at the end Lol but hey, what’s not to love?
I will continue to go there for their guacamole with chips and veggie burger.

La nourriture etait bonne. La decoration est sympa, coloree. Le service etait efficace.

Par contre, l’espace est trop coince et il y a une odeur de graisse tres desagreable. Dommage! Un autre local, aere, avec terrasse, serait parfait!

Recently, myself and two other friends dined at the Aztec Restaurant. Right from the time we entered until the time we left, the experience was outstanding. The atmosphere was cozy, quaint, with an interesting Mexican theme with a little uniqueness.

The service was very friendly, professional and the preparation and serving of ordered items was extremely quick and quite appealing. The quality of the food was excellent, the sauce on the chipotle wings was very enticing, to point we placed an extra order. The Margaritas were perfect.

Another pleasant surprise was the final bill, extremely affordable.

Congratulations to Carolyn and her staff for providing a great dining experience.

    We will be back!

Last Friday, Valentine’s day, I took my son to Aztec. We had been waiting for a while in order to go and we were not disappointed! The classic margarita was huge and delicious, and so was the Bellini. The decor is definitely Mexican and is bright and cheery with all the colors. The restaurant is cozy, and the staff is really courteous and helpful. Now the food, just to think of it I’m licking my fingers! We ordered the chipotle bbq wings and they were out of this world. Just the right amount of crunch, spiciness, and gooeyness. The tacos we had, regular, shrimp, and flank steak, were delicious! We finished with the churros which I would have preferred to look more like the authentic ones but they were still great.

Overall, a great experience. Definitely a place I will return to.

I looooove Aztec! The margaritas and the pina colada are delicious! My favorite place for pina colada in PV. The staff is friendly and always ready to assist you. The first time the churros were a little burnt but they got it right the second and third time! The portions are not quite big my friends and I always joke around saying that Aztec is a place you go when you’re already half full and when you got money to spare.10$ for nachos! That’s expensive! but they taste awesome so I keep going back! Hello mr sexy muscle bartender! haha! But I don’t like the location it’s small and the stairs to the restaurant aren’t that appealing. But it’s a must try. The passion fruit margarita is my favorite!

Aztec Mexican Fusion Cuisine and Bar -Haiti
    8 December
Happy Holidays to All!!! As a native Texan, I consider myself an expert at Tex-Mex (50 years worth)….which is advertised by Aztec. As an ” expert” in Tex-Mex, and as I have extensively traveled and enjoy local cuisine from all places visited, and consider myself some what of a gourmand…. I Provide this Review:

After 6 years in Haiti, we now have an actual authentic mexican style restaurant. Several have attempted and not quite made the “mark”. Carolyn, (our proprietor) has brought true tex-mex flavors (not a local attempt at same) and food quality, and service, above and beyond what we typically accept in Haiti as the norm. Unfortunately, in Haiti, after some time, we begin to accept what is…not what it may be….we acclimate and become complacent….

Aztec Mexican Fusion Cuisine and Bar -Haiti, has brought new life to the dining experience in Haiti. Truly a success and quite a wonderful experience. We dined in a small party of three, and enjoyed first, the margaritas, appetizers of fresh, hot out of the oil tortilla chips, with a very great guacamole. Then moved on to chicken taco “snacks” as they are termed from the menu (actually one soft chicken taco, with very well presented plate of accompaniments, of pico de gallo, guacamole, spanish rice, sour creme. Also brought separately was an exceptional home made pepper sauce/salsa that was quite wonderful & HOTTT…Mnnnn good. Another round of cocktails included a Proprietor suggested mix….(that I have now, some how forgotten……maybe I had one to many) that was also “top shelf”. We then experienced the main course….chicken fajitas (one beef) again with exceptional presentation (served in a small iron skillet) with all the expected accompaniments. Wow…..a lot of great food, seasoned well (like Tex -Mex) and served beautifully by a well trained staff. The proprietor herself was present during our entire 2.5 hour experience and was table side no less than half a dozen times during same, to ask if we were okay, being serviced, required anything additional…the 2.5 hour experience was completely at our leisure….our comfort, and our desire to enjoy the time…we did not wait on staff/food/libations, staff actually waited on us, a real ” breath of fresh air” in Haiti, where one may typically wait an hour for dinner to be served.

Prices are very moderate, food was GREAT!, service was unbelievable for Haiti, and we had a wonderful experience.
    Thank you

So, Carolyn, you have all five stars from this review! You have done extremely well considering what we have come to expect in Haiti. Please continue your great restaurant, we shall be loyal and frequent customers.

PS: You did promise that Grand Marnier….

    Thank you Carolyn,

I was really excited to try this new Mexican restaurant so I participated to their 2nd soft opening. As they mentioned on the invitation the purpose of the soft opening was to rate themselves before the grand opening to know their pros and cons and to adjust them if needed. in my opinion, this is a clear sign that as a new restaurant they are trying to offer the best services available. The location is OK, but as everywhere in Petion-Ville, finding a parking spot can be a nightmare. The place is small but the decoration is nice with bright colors and I really loved their tables with red and gold designs. I just ordered some tacos and a cherry juice as I was not so hungry. The first one tasted really good, the second one with guacamole was OK but the juice was just “heaven”. My tacos were cold so I was wondering if it was real tacos or just something they bought in a supermarket. However, the owner, Caroline asked me detailed questions about the tacos so I was able to tell her exactly my pros and cons and she agreed that some thing will be improved. The customer service was also great. The prices are also very interesting when you see the amount of food they serve. I will definitely go back to try their mexican pizza.
