La Maison de Pétion

This  house, located Rue du Docteur Ennery ( between Rue de La Reunion & Rue du Centre ) is the oldest house in Port-au-Prince. This is where Petion was born, in April 1770. It used to shelter the Social Affairs Ministry before the January 12th earthquake. The building was hit but is still standing. It is currently ( as of December 2012 ) abondonned, even though there is a “historical heritage” tag on it.
