This place is a hidden jewel. My very first visit to Haiti my husband took me to Le Florville and explained the history of it. I was impressed of the architecture, but I did not fancy the cold welcome we received. Maybe it had something to do with our appearance, I was hungry and just jumped in the car with shorts and a tank top–something I thought was normal. Either case, after a few minutes our server warmed up. I’m trying not to be biased here, but the amount f money my husband paid for the quality of food was not worth it. I think we probably be better off going to a small mom and pop place. I got really sick after eating the lambi but they told me maybe it was because my system was not used to the food. I hear they throw really great parties there, maybe one day I can experience that also. Afterwards, the waiter allowed us to see the rooms available and I can say they were nice and cozy, but a bit pricey for what was being offered.

I gave it a 3 star because the waiter in the end broke the ice and made our visit enjoyable.
