The review of ManManPemba

Observatoire is a place where I always take visitors or friends who are in Port-au-Prince for a few days. The setting is ideal to sit down, enjoy the view of the bay, contemplate the city and guess at the places and neighborhoods of Port-au-Prince we know. Good spot for light snack, ice-cream, drinks and souvenirs too.

Awesome views! There are also artisans selling art in front before entering. You feel transported to Haiti’s true potential. The food was ok! It was nothing to go crazy about. Great ambiance and good vibes.

This is one of those places that you have to visit every time you’re in Haiti. The view is breathtaking. I haven’t had a bad meal yet. The griot was good!

Get the griot, get the griot, get the griot! Also that view is priceless and I almost always get perfect service! Well, because of that view, it’s one of those places you absolutely have to visit! If possible, an expansion would do wonders, it feels kinda cramped especially when there’s an event happening!

You want cozy and romantic, day or night, this is the place to go! Although quite far (from where i leave at least), the trip is totally worth it! The view is superb, the temperature is right, the overall environment is perfect and sets a good mood. I had the best “accras” of my life there. Cocktails are also very good. Service is very efficient: the wait isn’t too long, the staff is very friendly and the bathrooms are very clean. I don’t really have any negative feedback. I just hope the menu was a little more diverse

Lovely time after church on Sunday with friends enjoying cappuccinos, french fries, and the view. Although the prices are high, (200 gdes for a cappuccino) there was no pressure to buy lunch or leave quickly. We stayed and talked a while and there were still tables available so we didn’t feel guilty. I was afraid we’d have a hard time parking, but we didn’t. Also, we didn’t want to buy any of the artisan goods in the area, but you have to walk by a lot of them. When we said ‘no thank you,’ no one badgered us to buy anything.
Very pleasant. Planning to go at night some time to see the twinkling lights.
